When selecting a school for professional certification, it’s important to evaluate whether or not that institution can provide you with a recognized certification upon completion. Many aromatherapy or botanical science programs are offered by non-traditional schools that do not have third party oversight in terms of educational quality, ethical practices, or instructor qualifications. While such programs may provide courses that can be completed rapidly, the certifications provided are not recognized outside of their own business, which means that your investment of both time and money may not provide you the tools needed to achieve success in the field. This is why the Franklin Institute of Wellness takes the extra step to provide full college authorization. Diplomas and certifications earned at FIW are recognized as both academic and professional credentials.

The Franklin Institute of Wellness is authorized by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. This authorization is renewed each year and is based upon an evaluation of minimum standards concerning quality of education, ethical business practices, health and safety, and fiscal responsibility. The Franklin Institute of Wellness also participates in many professional organizations, and our instructors retain active professional membership in numerous aromatherapy, botanical science, and public health organizations. This ensures that students in our programs receive the benefits of a professional certification from a fully authorized postsecondary institution, as well as the latest developments and updates in the industry.
